Alma Town Court is located on Allen Street in the town of Allentown, New York. The town of Alma is located in Allegany County, New York.

The town of Alma can be found in Allegany County in New York, United States. The town is located to the southwest of the Wellsville Village and to Allegany County’s southern edge. According to the 2010 census, the town has a population was 842.

Alma is a rough, hilly town with some fine farms around as well as pine and lumber from its forests. However, these weren’t where the town’s wealth and importance were about. Alma is more popular for the mineral treasures that can be found under its surface.

Here was where the Allegany oil field was first known to exist. Even to this day, the town’s oil is paying great quantities. The oil industry is where the town gets its main revenue. The town of Alma has steep hillsides that aren’t well adapted to cultivation along with narrow valleys, deep ravines, streams, creeks and more.

There are few locations and communities you can visit in Alma. There’s Alma Village, a hamlet of the town found at the intersection of 4 Mile Road and Petrolia Road (County Routes 18) at the town’s southwest corner.

A stream, the Honeoye Creek, can be found flowing over the southern part past the village of Alma. Other communities of the town include Allentown, once an oil boom town, by the NY 417 (Bolivar-Allentown Road) at the town’s northwestern corner.

There’s also Pikeville on County Route 18 to the western portion of the municipality and Vosburg at the NY 417 at the western town line. A fine farming section of the town is the “Niles Hill” country. The town also has two sawmills, one store and a hotel located at Honeoye.

Alma is a relatively small town in New York and does not have much on tourist destinations seeing as tourism is not the town’s main wealth. However, it is a great place if you are looking to hide from stress of the city life.

Advantages of Hiring A Local Attorney

The John C. Nelson law firm receives calls from attorneys across New York State asking me to ‘cover’ a traffic ticket for him or her. This is because not all traffic tickets can be handled by mail. Most of the time, I can appear on my client’s behalf or even handle the matter by mail, but sometimes courts require the attorney to be present in court. For example the courts of Limestone, Perry or the Village of Ellicottville can not be handled by mail, attorney must be present.

In most instances in life, the more points you get, the better it is. However, that’s not the case when it comes to the New York Department of Motor Vehicles issuing points on your license for certain types of traffic violation convictions. When it comes to a clean driving record, you don’t want any points or as few as possible. Having points on your license can increase your automobile insurance, it can prevent you from having certain jobs that requires you to drive and it could lead to license suspension or revocation.

The New York Vehicle and Traffic Law section 1180 deals with speed limits and lays out the consequences imposed by a court upon a conviction. The fine that a court may assess is based upon the specific traffic violation stated on the issued ticket, the speeding infraction, and the number of previous convictions.
